Yep, you're right. I've been in 43C and didn't think it was so bad, but 35C with 90% humidity just about killed me. Do you have A/C in your apartment? I think I would live with it on, I have windows and a fan for the summer in Hokkaido and about 3 weeks of broken sleep

yeah, I have aircon and I sleep right under it. The insulation is not good so when I turn on aircon in my room, the whole ward becomes hot/cold, not just my room
is it that warm in Hokkaido in summer?

We get about 1/2 weeks of 30-35C and about 22-26C at night. This is hot for me. Sometimes it gets really humid with this and then I really suffer. Average summer temperatues in Scotland are around 25C and its changeable, nights are cool.
I"ve been to Singapore, but the A/C was fierce there which helped with the constant humidity. Bangkok was pretty bad- 37C and humid too.

25C in summer sounds so pleasant. We used to have such summer when I was a kid in y home town. The max used to be around 30. But, in last 15-20years, I can really notice how bad summer has become - blame it on pathetic urbanization
I was trying to read 2 papers and already feel sleepy. They should have jokes, riddles, and short stories also in these journals, you know.

maybe little quizzes or puzzles would be useful too. I'm still pondering my PCR primers, the start site of the gene is a mass of G's and C's

it might be some coded message that will reveal the secret of saving this planet in 2012. Good luck.

Well if it is- we're in trouble, cause it makes no sense to me or the NCBI primer design programme
