BB-san is really a diehard Steve Martin fan......:)

@Sir LyQ: and where is The Sound of Music that the austrians don't like?...and it's hard to believe that someone who loves Kill Bill also likes Love Actually...:D....I like a lot of movies on your list though and Cinema Paradiso is one of my alltime favourites....I watched that one at least 5 times....

Some nice choices there LQ, although I'm not a fan of gangster movies, so I would lose those and add a few other films
like
Twilight samurai, Touching the void, Whale Rider, Star trek (the new one), Labryrinth, the Dark Crystal, Blade runner...

So YRH- is the sound of music on your favourite list ? I like it alot, though kinda long, what about Oklahoma or South Pacific?
I still haven't seen Cinema paradiso- it was on here, but choice of languages was Italian with Japanese subtitles- I don't understand Italian and I can't read Japanese

Yup, I watch the Sound of Music (which the austrians don't like) at least twice a year.....it's a must for Christmas...and I know all the songs ;)...actually, I really like most of the old musicals- Fiddler, Oklahoma, South Pacific, King and I, West Side, My Fair Lady, Camelot, Oliver...and Cinema Paradiso is quite a treat to watch, hope you find one subtitled in English...

Actually Blade Runner should be in the list, because I love that movie! Some months ago i bought the special pack with all the versions and I watched all of them. It is really funny how different a movie can be with "minor" changes!
Stark trek is quite good, but not twhe same level. I still have to watch Twilight samurai...
The sound of music is good, but it did not make my list...maybe I could add grease... ;)

And I think "eternal sunshine..." is the more imaginative film I've watched in a lot of years. Everybody should check it out!

-laurequillo-

Eternal sunshine is a fantastic movie- certainly on my fav list.
Twilight samurai is just a lovely movie- simple and quietly powerful,
Have you guys seen Whale Rider?

Grease- I used to hate it, but now its got a charm. My fair lady also excellent, but I can't stand Oliver.
