a great gangsters movie i just saw was "Dogville"
4.5 / 5 stars!
Departed is good as well. I have to watch Infernal Affairs (this weekend as well!), I heard is quite good.
Really I dont get David Lynch, is too disturbing. I still have to watch Mullholand Drive (this weekend!)I dont like his style. Here a link where you can find a really funny opinion about David Lynch movies...I kind of agree! (but only because I am not able to enjoy them, not because I think some people are idiots)

I guess that dude is a family film viewer, preferable Disney crap.... . and it's mostly this disturbing atmosphere and feeling unpleasant that makes the films good and interesting, it's like some modern art (or some weird dreams), where you don't understand all or sometimes nothing, or just one layer of it makes sense for you...much to think about if one likes to do it...
I watched last "Spirited Away" (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi), liked it, 7.5-8/10

just like Spirited Away? ....but just like appreciation for any modern artwork...esp the conceptual ones it's a matter of personal taste....so one either likes it or hates it.....IIRC, you don't like surrealistic crap dr H....

so you think Disney crap has several layers to it.......that the suspension of disbelief borders on the pathological...c'mon....perhaps your film noir....or Dali's short films...

Yeah maybe this dude just like chick flicks and movies with blue people, but anyway, I dont get David Lynch, and I consider myself a quite openminded guy cinemawise (I really like when Cronenberg get weird for example...). But maybe it is like modern art, and that is why I dont get Modern Art either!! One thing is true, He creates really disturbing scenarios, but thatīs it for me...maybe I have to watch them again to get them!
I will see Mulholland drive and I will let you know...
Did you see Spirited Away in original version or dubbed?

yes cutting with a blade in an eye is much better than any lion king crap ...in Disney there are only several layers of cliché, manipulation and family values...oh I forgot the and more or less hidden adverts...
