PI i wonder wat made u say that????i dont know about drn,but can say 4 sure that i hated neal and nikki....its not even worth a negative rating...
as for DRN.....i actually dont owe u an explanation rite!!!!

-Helios-

"spirited away"

very good animation movie. rating 9.5/10

synopsis: "The film views a sullen ten-year-old girl in the middle of her family's move to a new town (presumably the countryside) and her adventures in a world of spirits and monsters."

-toejam-

i don't like animation movies

AND HELIOS, when on earth did I seek an explanation from you??? even if u did, lemme tell u I have got BETTER things to do....

there helios.......u find ur creed in TJs movie (read- spirits and monsters)

-DRN-

i like animation but i hated bolt!!!
i l rate it 4/10
madagascar.. ice age all parts 8/10

-Pradeep Iyer-

"requiem for a dream"

9.5/10

awesome movie!
plot: "The hopes and dreams of four ambitious people are shattered when their drug addictions begin spiraling out of control."

btw, isn't this supposed to be a place where you recommend movies you like, rather than ranting about those you hate?

-toejam-

Serendipity

a romantic story . .

7/10

-Nabi-

what's this? a new thread while I was sleeping....:P

Hey BB-san, finally a Movies thread... ..I think the last one I watched at the cinema was the sci-fi District 9 but perhaps tj or dr H can give us the review…

Two I would recommend if you’ve got the cable movie channel or you can rent the DVDs: The Syrian Bride and Time of Favor.

Not too heavy on the plot nor the atmosphere and just the right dash of politicization, imho. Both films deal with how families and traditions become victims of the arab-israeli conflict. Pretty good films.…Mona, the bride is brave and beautiful and Menachem, the IDF soldier is hot….;)

-casandra-

Well,

Verblendung (aka Men Who Hate Women) plot is there....
with 8.67/10

The Good, the Bad, the Weird
7.62/10 : a strange South-Korean western (or eastern), perhaps not apt for people who love Japan :P

Can I just ask how you came up with that 8.67 rating....and please outline your complicated computation...(preferably the one for dummies)...

-casandra-

But it's anyway too complicate for you then and confident too.... :P

another good one: "District 9"
with 8.27/10
