Casandra (Casey, Cas, Casan?), I love "El otro lado de la cama"! It was so funny...the actors were great and funny and the songs were really well known spanish songs...sooo good!!.... "el niño meloooonnnn!!" (I guess you saw it VOS...The melon boy! jajajajaja); the second part was ok, no great, but ok.

And how come you saw those spanish movies?

(About the TV shows I buy the complete series of the old ones like Friends, Seinfeld, 6 feet under, The sopranos...and download the new ones! Internet rocks! )

For me hollywood films are the foreign films.... . Actually since I am in Germany (about three years) I dont see so many spanish movies...
What is really funny is that I spent like 26 years in Spain, and I watched all the movies dubbed in spanish and with the spanish titles, and now I watch everything in OV and with the real titles, and very often when I heard the title of a old movie I cannot even know which movie they are speaking about, because the titles are so different in spanish!!! For example:
"Die hard" in spanish is "La jungla de cristal" (the glasses´ jungle)
"Point Break" is "Le llamaban Bodhi" (they called it/him bodhi)
"The sound of music" is "Sonrisas y lagrimas" (smiles and tears)
"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" is "Dos hombres y un destino" (Two men and a/the same destiny)

In german cinemas it would be difficult, almost all films are dubbed...and have similar awkward titles...
E.g.:
Once upon a time in the West = Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod (Perform for me the song of death)
Dawn of the Dead = Zombie 1
Day of the Dead = Zombie 2
Cruel Intentions - Eiskalte Engel (ice-cold angels)
Dragnet = Schlappe Bullen beißen nicht (flabby cobs won't bite)
Die hard = Stirb langsam (die slowly)
and the best:
The Night of the Blind Terror = Die Nacht der reitenden Leichen (the night of the riding corpses)

yeah, that's quite interesting bec when foreign film titles are translated into English, more often than not it would be a direct or literal translation- so that''s easy....but anyways, lots are lost in the translation.....and sonrisas y lagrimas? I thought it was la monja rebelde (or something similar) but perhaps that's the latin american translation....
