A painting by Stephen Wiltshire, an unique artist and autistic savant with an eidetic (photographic) memory. He's a whole gallery on his homepage.

memory or post card? and we are not a dark country...we`ve got sun at least 3 months in a year (and Toronto a few more days give and take :))...let`s not ask for too much, ok? So if he`s really been there then that`s very impressive...do you know how many buildings that city has?

Memory most of the time, read the "about me" part on his homepage.

"To commemorate the reopening of the St Pancras Station, The Daily Telegraph commissioned Stephen to produce an exclusive drawing. He took just two hours to capture every detail its refurbished interior."
And three month sun is a lot  perhaps he was there at one of the other 9 months? :)

this one`s better..with a lot more light and just two hours to draw it from memory....nice...but for that amount of time, I think I can do the clock...:)....

... but does he think of them as buildings, or shapes?

...they're detailed, perfectly scaled and life-like so whether he could attach to the shapes the concept of buildings, I guess only he knows...

Isn't Barbie one of the prototypes (or stereotypes?) of beauty? She celebrates her 50th anniversary in 2009 therefore two images showing how she might look today :) .
