Chow Time - share what U had (Jan/26/2009 )
maybe I can send you a pm-though some major photoshopping needs to take place to put some chopsticks in it!
how about this instead?
As to the octopus- it was actually not chewy, I"m not sure you could say tender(can you ever call octopus tender?)
I think because there were vegetables there too, so the steam kinda cooked it.
Before I came to Japan I would have rather put blunt knitting needles in my eyes than eat sea urchin roe, but now I love the stuff.
However natto remains in the "evil food" zone for me.

a pm pic? ok, I'm not that picky....even without chopsticks is alright. ...Is that a sumo-geisha-bijinga hand-painted scroll? Yup, you better send me your pic so I can make the comparison?
and the raw egg mixed with hot rice for breakfast comes in second in the most evil foods ever.....

almost.....but I started having a panic attack at the last moment so I couldn't pick up the cute baby shrimps with my darn chopsticks....I was thinking about the poor Mommy shrimps....downright evil, Lost
the egg breakfast and natto are not evil . . . not at all.
Natto with tororo soba. . . isn't that the best? or may be tsukimi soba with natto . .. I can't decide which one is better.

you're probably right BB...natto's not really evil, just a bit nasty esp the smell and the stickiness...but it's quite a healthy food...a pity it doesn't taste like salty french fries swimming in lard...

and following our minds is sometimes good for us.....I wonder how one can get rid of the smell during production cos it's fermented after all.....but I really like edamame (plain or salted boiled soybean) which is just as nutritious I think....is it already oyasumi for you guys over there? I guess not- it's the Friday nightlife.....enjoy you guys.....
and for those who haven't seen natto......the nasty food
