But it looks good...are you sure there's something wrong with this food or with you?
Its just a symbol; mine looked more disgusting and tasted also this way...luckily I've got good red wine to wash it away
You just wanted an excuse to drink your good red wine ...oh yeah, blame it on the disgusting food ....I'd have shared my chicken wraps with you but unfortunetely, I ate them all (so you can blame it on the their yummy taste).....
I'm already beyond that stage, don't need an excuse...but thanks for the care o-kaachan
And I'd drizzle the chicken and veggie filling with a good dose of castor oil for the additional exotic flavor....that's how caring an o-kaachan I truly am
Mom's also take care of such messes afterwards
Yup, throw you down the dungeon with no food and drink for a week.....well, maybe just a sip of crystal spring water and some gourmet magazines as punishment for being gross...
Oh a 19th century mom.... I guess with chignon

in Germany we'd say: Preach abstinence whilst drinking wine....
chignon = bun

a hotdog bun or cinnamon buns for 2 chignons? And what has preaching got to do with Germany?
today just pizza.....but for dinner: pasta with pesto (edit: home made )
I thought I"d post some full on Hokkaido cuisine photos. I went on a trip to the very northern islands of hokkaido - Rishiri and Rebun. The main cuisine there is kelp seaweed and seafood like crab, sea urchin and octopus.
uni don- rice topped with seaurchin (which is very creamy and yummy tasting)
There we are Hokkaido kaseiki (fancy) cooking-
crab and seaurchin, tempura of mountain vegetables etc.
fresh sashimi of prawns, squid and flatfish
Teppenyaki of scallops and octopus cooked in butter
with lashings of seaweed dishes
I"m on a low Japanese food diet this week after trying to eat all of this!
Beautiful food.
Nice, really beautiful kaiseki, Lost....was that a bowl of sea urchin roe on plain rice? and the prawn sashimi- you could eat these namamono? I'm still trying to find the octopus (is it the one which looks like a conch and pierced with a toothpick? I'm really envious now....
So where's the sumo geisha dressed-up Lost who feasted on all this food? I wanna see her eating all of it......

that photo will not be seeing the light of day on the internet!
The octopus was on the mini teppenyaki plate- so there's no picture of it sorry. Yep, the prawns are namamono and that was a whole load of sea urchin roe on rice- its incredibly rich food (I should think my cholesterol levels are at critical at the mo).
The conch was actually conch- but I don't actually like that all that much so I didn't eat it.

Oohh...not even one ray of light ....how about pulling a fast photoshop and covering your face with a beautiful kabuki mask...we just wanna see the kimono and your hands handling the chopsticks......
You ate all that roe, eh...very impressive..it has literally the taste of the ocean. Just too bad we couldn't see the octopus. Was it a bit chewy since it's only fried in butter? (this is a food thread after all and once again, nice pics)
