Oh we just call that "people that are used to drink soo much that they just cant get drunk anymore" or they need hugh amounts of alcohol..
But I use the word drunk for someone who is really drunk (wasted).
So I think it depends on what your definition of a drunk is...
What you call a functional drunk , I call it an alcoholic (those most often have a high tolerance for drinking and sometimes they still function like you mention with the links.)
Drunk for me = wasted, not being able to do things normally...

ok, pito...since we are in this nit-picking stage....let me do a recap- I didn't ask if you were drunk or wasted, hammered, tanked and all the 100 english words for it..I asked if you were drinking, so there's a difference and you're the one who complicated it....now perhaps you shld drink a little bit or add something stronger to that darn tea so you will be in a better mood...for heaven's sake...it's Friday..we shld be having a good time and not yacking about who is functional or not
...loosen up dude...ok, how about a synchronised toast (with tea of course)...CHEERS!!! It was too late yesterday to get me that cup of tea and toast. But now is a good time.. about to eat (its 11.36).
I do wonder what people think if they read all those posts... I think they concider us crazy... I suppose thats why they stay out: fear of catching something that would make them crazy too.. They have given up hopes for us ... we are too far progressed and cant be saved or cured anymore... insanity is knocking on our doors.
