seriously, what's the probability that it will jump back to humans...mutated into a more virulent form?

Obviously, I can't say anything about the probablility of it happening, but let us not forget that the 1917-18 swine flu started as a mild spring flu, disappeared over the summer, and returned in the winter in a more virulent form and killed millions.

this is what we're most concerned about but then we should also consider that we're in so much better condition now than the people were at that time in terms of health care and quality of life, we've got better tools for monitoring etc, more medical expertise, better drugs, and hopefully no corpses strewn in the streets contaminating land and water supplies...

and for some artistic comic business-as-usual relief, check THIS AD out...

I'm calm about my own place. Our first case would go unnoticed as a common cold if the lady wouldn't tell the hospital staff that she was in the US. It seems to be mild on Europeans. I don't know if that's because in Mexico there's a lot of underfed, poor people, or are there genetic factors.
I hope nothing mutates further.

While all are discussing about the virus, few cases hit the land of the rising sun. While all the other manga superheros are discussing the name and how much it will affect . . our dearest kitty-chan is out on a rescue mission already..

A nice clock (actually not that new, but nice to watch and with a nifty mechanism from a mix of mechanic and electronic parts). It's located at the library building of the Corpus Christi College Cambridge.

Webpage
Youtube-video how it looks and works.

The moving eye of the chronophage (the big weird creature that is also the escapement of the clock) you can see in my profile. :)
