I too am back.

I wandered off for a month or so and came back and had to re-register. My lovely post-count gone forever!

Imagine how fred_33 feels!

Why, how many posts did he had?

fred_33 had >3000 posts

I had only >1000 posts.

haha and I felt bad because I lost my posts , about 100 or maybe 200 at most :)

Did everyone lose their posts or? Because I noticed even directly after the crash that some people had high postnumbers, I cant imagine they did those posts in the few days after the crash.

I suppose you only lost the posts that were made during the period that is lost and only members that registered during that period had to re-register , not?

members who registered before 2005 didn't lose any information and kept their post record.

Your link doenst seem to work Minnie

toejam , I see, the "old ones" keep their posts :P I do wonder if there are still a lot of the early members present and active!
I think it should be interesting to know who is still active... what about the starters of the forum, the first active members... etc..

they only kept the posts from before the last backup (in 2005). they lost all the posts after that point (eg- aimikins had over 1890 posts before, 36 now).

hmmm there are a few old-schoolers around, I think. I joined a little over 5 years ago, and it was already a going concern that had been around for a while.

Jadefalcon...Pcrman...a couple of names I've dug out of the dregs of my memory

I miss Fred! I was hoping to see him here, but I came back after a long hiatus and he hasn't logged in since then. he was the absolute word on RNA for awhile there, and a very nice fellow besides.

-aimikins-

I am back too.

Welcome back, spanishflower. <_<
