but Africa is still bigger compared with North America even including Mexico...
U can put whole of Africa in Asia then. . What would anyone get by proving Africa is bigger than China?
Also Alaska is missing..., and Scandinavia not complete and Madagascar missing too.....but that's not the point...it's to show (especially for European and American people), that Africa is really huge and not only a quite big but homogeneous place. In Europe and America people often just speak of "Africa" as a whole, and there is no room for differences. But showing it's actual size may help to avoid this "one-fits-all approaches" (e.g. Africa as synonym for war, aridity, AIDS and/or poverty). BTW sometimes in Europe, about Asia is similarly talked as if there is also no heterogeneity and differences.
