Casandra and Hobglobin probably ran out of quotes and right now hunting for some. They should be back. TJ is a different story. Ever since he moved to a new place, he is spending all his evenings pubbing blaming the weather.
It's sunny here and getting warmer. It's 25degC today.
hahaha! nice to be back after a really long time doing pub recognition
congratulations on your poster lost! I've heard Budapest is very nice, if you like wine then you should try "The king of the wines, the wine of the kings", i don't remember the name but that's the advertising, any Hungarian will know about it, or maybe Casandra, who says to have the best taste in alcoholic beverages.
running is going well, keeping me warm in this unpredictable weather but still haven't got any sponsoring 5 minutes it's sunny, then it's cloudy or raining and so on, i think you'd love it here BB! plus, they've got some nice beers as my field research has proven so far...
Canada is having an international jazz festival now, I wish I could be there now, it's quite an event!
here it's not getting warmer, but the days are getting longer, we're having around 4-5 hours of (semi) darkness, but in general everything is going well.
I really like baseball but no one practices in the UK, instead they have this thing called cricket, haven't taken a close look at it yet, but i might have to do it, as a replacement for baseball
see you around, cheers!!

Hi Toejam,
Sorry to let you down before you get up, but, if you like the thrills and spills of baseball then I think you might find Cricket to be a bit laid back, although there is a version called 20/twenty which is a bit more exciting. I'm not a great follower myself but it is a good thing to go watch with a picnic and a few beers (or so I have been recommended). The closest thing we have over here to baseball would be a game called 'rounders'... but again, this will be a bit of a let down I'm afraid. Ask your fellow researchers next time you are out in the 'field' and they can fill you in on the details and also why you're not likely to want to play it.... If you have been down the Pub much then you have slotted quite nicely into the main English pastime already (which can be fairly high octane stuff if you go anywhere near the town centres at the weekend!).
By the way, I'm on English south coast and it has been fairly glorious over the last couple of weeks
p.s If you want to know about the Dark Origins of cricket then may I suggest a little read of some Douglas Adams?
Weather sounds perfect to me. For some time in my life, I was addicted to watching cricket but later realised how much waste of time it was considering the match-fixing and stuffs that upset any sports lover. But, still, it is a fun game to watch and what is not fun with some beer?
Good to see U back.
I"m getting terribly nostalgic with all this talk of rounders and cricket...I'm need some strawberries and cream to go with my pimms now (not a big beer drinker).
Its finally warm here!! 21C and the sun was out for more than 5mins- hurrah.
Resting my fingers after PCR lid closure- they hurt in large numbers...

if I had extra hyakku yen in my pocket yesterday evening, I would have had first Hokkaido softo-cream yesterday evening.
How about this one? maybe a little more than 100Y though.
.
......It took 12 of us 30mins to finish it.....
WoW! And, may be 30 mins for taking all the photos.
What do U call that thing?

hi mopster,
thanks for the recommendations. after spending some time with fellow researchers i've come to realise that the easiest thing to do is to play soccer particularly nice during a sunny day (of which we've had a lot lately!) in a public park and taking the t-shirt off to get a nice tan. i've become really pale after a couple of months here, i've become the simpsonized version of me
i'll check later on Douglas Adams, at the moment i'm still stuck on Terry Prattchet.
cheers!

hey lost!
that thing looks really good! i wonder if we could get one for tomorrow, celebrating someone's bd...hmm...
If that was somewhere nearby, I would be willing to celebrate my own birthday every month.
