Good morning LiL, how was the game?

-Nabi-

Good morning Nabi,

Well they lost... I'm no judge of baseball (you hit the ball but anything outside of that is fuzzy for me), but I think the other team seemed to be rather good, they got lots of points. It was freezingly cold too, didn't feel like June at all.

Your previous picture lots also very nice, even if it has the dreaded anko on it. I should try and put some pictures of Hokkaido foods up... but I always forget to take a picture before eating them.

how was your weekend?

-LostintheLab-

Never played baseball but used to play softball when I was in Junior High School. I love the game still and we closely follow our beloved Hiroshima's Carp. No problem even if they lose 23-2 like last week's game. Our love for the team is blind and deaf. :o

Weekend just passed by without doing anything worth remembering. Went to movies on Sat - Terminator-4 and Sunday just did goro-goro.

I have learned to overcome the urge to bite before taking picture - and it took a long time for that. Would love to see Hokkaido foods - heard a lot of good things about them. I found Siro-kuma as ice-lollies in a Supa. Not as good as the real one but was good.

I don't even know how Nippon Ham are doing this season. At least your team sounds nicer than than Nippon Ham Fighters, which always makes me think of some form of meat-based superhero's, along the lines of the power rangers or something.

Haha, U said our team sounds nicer. They do sound nicer but when typing their name sometime, 'a' and 'r' tend to switch places and even if they do . . the meaning might be the same describing their performance, The good part of them is that crowd goes mad when they are winning and rest of the time they are madder yelling out all sorts of things in pure hiroshima-ben.

I thought U will have photos from ur lunch today. Need to revive the old thread.

-Nabi-

Please revive the old thread!
Though yesterday I actually had some Korean dish with mochi and fish cakes in it (the name was too hard to remember) as our university shokudo is running an asian fare month. I will attempt to take some piccys of food at some point.
If there is any Hokkaido-ben I haven't really heard it, though apparently there's some local words for cold and what not.

Are you starting to feel like we're the only ones here? Has swine flu struck down Casandra, Toejam and Hobgoblin in their prime? :)

Yay! I'm celebrating as I got my abstract accepted for the meeting in Budapest in September and its a poster which I'm happy about because its way less stress than a talk and I can write the paper easier at the same time.

:) :) :)

Lost goes travelling again

Congratulations! Good luck for the poster presentation. Omiyagey wa nann demo ii desu. :). Yoroshikuonegaishimashu.

Casandra and Hobglobin probably ran out of quotes and right now hunting for some. They should be back. TJ is a different story. Ever since he moved to a new place, he is spending all his evenings pubbing blaming the weather.

It's sunny here and getting warmer. It's 25degC today.

LOL! I would think Casandra and Hobgoblin have probably quoted every quote there can be...
I believe I saw a patch of blue sky here today, (enough for a sailors hankerchief) but I think that was short lived, still better than the rain and grey we've had recently...though it makes me think of home. Maybe thats why TJ is running- to keep warm :)

Goulash wa ii desu ka? :)

onaka ga suita.... lunchi tabetai

:)

Just 30 mins and off I will go for a Bento-Kai.
