Radio Bioforum - Recommended (Jan/26/2009 )
Ok... so I joined. It didn't work before, but it does now.
I don't really understand how it works though- does everyones playlists get played in the bioforum group?

Yeah, that happens too. When U listen to song on ur computer, if U have the right player, the songs get scrobbled and everyone's make up the weekly chart. I guess that's it
hi Lost,
i'll try to give a brief description of what our group at last.fm does, regarding music.
there's this addition to your prefered music player (e.g. windows media player, itunes, amarok...) called scrobbler, what it does is to send the music you listen to your profile. now that you're part of the group your music will go to a bulk of music that is the songs each of the members of thebioforum at last.fm listens to. after that, charts are created weekly, based on the artists most users listen to and you can listen the online radio, based on that bulk of music. additionally, you can select which are your favorite songs, i suppose (not sure tho) that will influence the songs that are played every time you listen to the bioforum radio.
i hope this has made things a bit clearer. best wishes.

And to add two points:
1. the tracks have to be tagged (a small info added to the mp3-file about title and interpret (as minimum); that's is shown in the player e.g. if the file has the name track5.mp3, but the player shows title and interpret. This info is given (scrobbled ) to last.fm
2. Vlc-media player has the scrobbler built-in and it is available as portable version (no installation needed). A very versatile and free player (for music and movies)

Don't worry Lost, you're not the only one who's not yet found...and I've already grown roots over there but still haven't figured out how that thang works....so, may I graciously recommend MY playlist ...eclectic bordering on the sublime...and Bach's not bad except he's a German , otherwise he's magnificent....

When you join the great Canadians club...Crethién is within eyeshot I'd say, Atwood not.
