Music To Our Ears - we've got the beat (Mar/06/2011 )
another classic one
ok guys...our Friday Fun Song:
Jessie J's Price Tag...I like this acoustic version more:
It's not about the money, money, money.....
ok...enough of quirky music....this here's what I'm listening to right now...some sweet violin shreddin' ....one of my favourite Sibelius pieces...and probably one of the best interpretations (not the orchestra but Oistrakh's) :
well back from gloomy (and out-of sync) to something more modern, but a similar old recording:
Blind Faith, one of Clapton's short-lived bands (but the best). Playing 1969 in Hyde Park a Rolling Bones track: Under my thumb

gloomy? well, technically, the piece is very difficult and demanding...and only true virtuosos can pull it off.... actually, when the violin concertos premiered in 1903 (?) it was demolished by the critics...but he revised it and later on- redemption ...plus I like it....and we can't expect a better quality of the recording- 1966 and russian...we're just lucky that it survived...
of course you can, Blind Faith was from 1969...but the bad sync is a problem from the dude who ripped the music...
some programme music not so quirky-gloomy-serious, but Russian and quite nice:
Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov: The Flight of the Bumblebee
where's my fly swatter?
I know you're not gonna like this dr H cos it's from Disney's Fantasia 2000....but the score is Shostakovich's famous piano concerto:
and where is my kitsch swatter...?
and here is a strong strong antidote: Peter Sellers
you really have the weirdest taste......
and here's a stronger antidote to the strong strong antidote- Katy Perry's ET....
"kiss me....kikikiss me...
infect with your love and
fill me with your poison..."
a little stupid this song but very catchy.......
howz about some Saturday Sap time:
Lifehouse- Whatever It Takes (stripped down version) I like this guy........
