Do not feel bad about that. We've all been there, believe me ;) .
It was a good idea to talk with your supervisor. And discussing/debating the reasons behind his decisions is a major step forward.

And you had to zero in on that? :) It's a new language called Caseyspeak and even I get lost in the translation sometimes...Sorry, Summer July..I just meant that I've seen it happen often, I've been there and I know how it feels. Sometimes, supervisors can be great researchers but have very poor communication or people management skills and misunderstandings and conflicts can arise bec of this. They seem to forget that if they become PIs eventually, they would be handling staff and students. But it's good that you can talk it out with him in the end. So take what you can from this experience and continue plodding on.

ahha! Thanks! Once a friend of mine said scientists are all a bit insane somehow,I think that is true. Talking should solve most of the problems compare with holding it. :)
