by fancy helmet you are implying I'm fast- er no, still very much beginner here, plus helmets haven't really caught on (on piste or on bikes for that matter).
I think alpine and as to cute instructor- my friends boyfriend, whose a ski teacher is taking me, so can't call him cute

if alpine, then I'd suggest you wear a helmet...I don't know if you've heard of the death of the Brit actress Natasha Richardson in one of our ski resorts here...she fell and hit her head while taking skiing classes--it's already mandatory to wear helmets in our big resorts.....I know, I know...uncomfy and uncool but safer......

at least tell us that he's not ugly .....
