nope, hobglobin....over my dead body...I'd never allow anything nor anybody to take my red tuque.......Kenya I think has a warning asterisk in our travel advisory....are you going by yourself or with your other octagenarian friends? iow, can I come? :P....

But that was because of the riots 2007/08, should be over now....anyway in all of those countries one should follow the safety advisories and be more careful than in Switzerland.... :P

I guess I'll go by myself (they have enough spiders), but if you want...<surprise>

the warning level --exercise high degree of caution--is still in effect up till now.....the resultant violence and destabilisation after the election was predicted to increase the criminal activity thruout the country...plus the usual potential for terrorist attacks and the heavy rains etc....and we're so spoiled and such wimps....:P...and I'll go with you just to make your trip more miserable, I mean memorable...;)...

Don't worry, I won't wear a tuque :P . And your travel advisory should renew that informations. Our has a long list (too lazy to translate it), but almost only general risks there (be careful about using credit cards, avoid slums, avoid travelling at night, avoid some regions especially near Somalia and all that stuff), not much different to all the other countries.

but it is constantly updated by the spies....what are our taxes for? :P..and our gov't--foreign affairs is just being extra-careful...I guess they don't want to have a lot of hassles to deal with later....

Hm normally taxes are to waste them  , our travel advisory website has a long and detailed disclaimer

ours is short and sweet:

"Travelling to a country with a Travel Warning may impact your health insurance and/or trip cancellation insurance. The decision to travel is the sole responsibility of the individual."

I guess they just want to save our insurance dollars...:P
