Protein hydrophobicity - (Aug/03/2005 )

Hi,
I am juste wondering the meanings of hydrophobic regions in a protein that doesn't have transmembrane domains.

generally these regions are not exposed to the outside of the structure but gathered in a protected core
two proteins can also interact by hydrophobic interactions
