can someone tell me iwth is the principle of silver staining and ponceau

hello!

I don't know about ponceau stainning, but I know about silver stainning.

To stain proteins with silver, you make an redox reaction. Silver is soluble and clear on salt form, but it isn't soluble when it react with specific amino acids (I don't know wich one).
