Upregulation of p53 levels in B-lymphocytes - (Dec/01/2004 )

Hi folks,

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to upregulate p53 levels in CLL lymphocytes (previously cryopreserved) using drugs as opposed to irradiation? So far the cells appear to be resistant to the drugs I have tried (etoposide and doxorubicin). I am trying to detect the protein levels by flow cytometry and western. Any tips for a protocol are very welcome!

Try with Bleomycin (induce double stranded DNA breaks). Cell needs to be electropored to internalize it.
