Advantages of Proteomics Study - (Oct/18/2008 )

Can anyone help me with what are the benefits of proteomics study as compared to genomics study,
as well as the limitations of genomics study?

proteomics study the expression of (highly) abundant proteins in dependence of developmental stage, stimulation of cells etc.; also, you can study PTM;

genomics do not qualify expression and PTM of proteins but may give predictions...
