Imidazole problem - (Oct/14/2004 )

I am having a few problems with the imidazole that I use for my his-tagged protein.
I currently use a sigma product that absorbs at 280 (pretty high). I was wondering what brands people used and if they encounter the same problems. I use the imidazole at 0.5M in my elution buffer.

Hi,

currently I am using imidazole form Merck and I have not had any problem regarding the 280 nm absorbance. However, I have never used concentrations higher than 0.1 M
