Have you tried sweet revenge?
I know this is coming towards a settlement but sweet revenge is sometimes good, although it does not lead to any improvement.
Have you tried using her stuff, pretending that you didn't found yours?
Anyway, I still recommend you talk about it with your boss. He's the one who will suffer from his wife bad habits if it disturbs his research

Personally, I don't think this is a good idea. Keep the situation simple. Revenge just complicate matters. More so since this matter is coming to a solution.
Ask her husband to buy her a new set of pipette...
I think this is the first time they work together in a lab. But they have been married for some years, probably 8 or so... that's why I think that BB's theory is correct

(and the *oink oink* thing was waaay too funny to prevent me of looking like a crazy woman giggling everytime I saw THAT WOMAN and the *oink oink* came to my mind)then I should probalbly NOT tell you that we once gave a pink ring-tailed lab coat to a unbelivable messy lab mate.....looked really nice
and another "conspiracy theory" to add: maybe she never wanted to work with her husband.....so she wants to get an excuse to leave the lab
should encouraging her husband/ your boss to marry another be a permanent solution this permanent-looking problem?
