pGEX-2T - (Aug/01/2008 )

Hi,
Has any one knows any thing about pGEX-2T plasmid.
I have a gene cloned in pGEX-2T in the DH5 alpha. I am not sure is it going to be on the bactery or in the media.

Thanks

pGEX-2T vector ( Amersham) is used for the inducible expression of genes in E.coli as
It has a glutathione S-transferase fusion tag and a thrombin cleavage site.

Most likely your protein will be in the bacteria unless it has specific secretory signals.
