Resuspending lyophylized antibodies - (Jul/18/2008 )
Usually when I buy antibodies it already comes in solution, but antibodies from R&D all come lyophylized. I'm wondering about the resuspension solution as their reccomendation is 0.1% BSA in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide but in my opinion, it seems lacking.... Wouldn't using TBS with 50% glycerol, 0.1% BSA and 0.02% Sodium Azide protect the antibody better... plus you don't have to worry about the freeze thaw cycles as the glycerol acts as an antifreeze down to more than -20C. What are your guys thoughts on this?

I think you would better follow the recommendation from R&D.
because they have probably tested the antibodies resuspended in a number of ways... and have already found it best in this solution.
Hope this may help.
