FITC labelled FITC - (Mar/25/2008 )

I've to label BSA with FITC. Does anyone has protocol for that?

make BSA at 2 mg/ml in 4% NaHCO3,
dissolve FITC in DMSO (dry DMSO) 1 mg/ml, 50-100 ul per ml, use freshly prepared solution only. add in 10 ul portions with stir/vortex.
react 2-4 hrs at dark.
Separate FITC-BSA from FITC by a PD-10 column in PBS. Do it at as dark as possible. (Dialysis is an alternative vs PBS. )
