Yes, I think it is similar! So you would have less problems with German letters than I do with English ones
As I'm a German yes

As I'm a German yes

But I always thought Germans are stubborn and have no sense of humor (at least the ones who come to Austria and want to go skiing but are stuck on the motorways
 )...

Sterotypes, how I love you! Are making the life a lot easier!
Like all Germans are stuck on the motorway in their big and expensive cars for hours without any sense of humour! And we Austrians are walking by in our "Dirndl" and "Lederhose" on our way to the mountains, jodeling and schuhplatteling....

I will not be messing around with more stereotypes, otherwise I will get no more answers to my question

Yup, you got it alright… the stereotype I mean…but not exactly me
. I’m still not fond of that drink though I may be in the minority. What is probably more true is that we like our alcohol (but who doesn’t anyway… of course barring those who don’t, for religious or cultural reasons). Nice to see you back, TJ

Dear Casandra,
never ever dare to compare an Austrian to a German! Doing this at the wrong place you may be beaten up (even if you will have some kind of advantage with your attached hockey stick
)! We Austrians are charming, have a great sense of humor and are much more relaxed than our German neighbours!

But without stereotyping: As far as I know it is quite difficult for Austirans to understand some sorts of German humor...just to mention German carnival (I know lots of Germans don't think its funny as well, but maybe we referre to the expertise of hobglobin here
)....but its the same vice versa!

And I am already charmed...wish I could say the same thing for your german counterpart . And no worries, the hockey stick comes in handy only in the rink or extreme cases of provocation. Otherwise (and this is not a stereotype) we are a very peaceful people...I guess you can make the same parallel between us and the americans ..but like I said... we are a very peaceful people

"...used to be..." is treacherous
 .
. That German carnival is funny I always thought this is a myth (never was there), same as 'Oktober Fest', that is arranged by savage mountain people, with "Dirndl" and "Lederhosen" on , yodelling and schuhplattering, and drinking thin beer all the time
. But they are called Bavarians
. But they are called Bavarians
What about South American carnival carnaval carioca? Toejam should be the specialist for it. Can imaging him dancing samba with a fancy costume on
