Purification of nuclear proteins - (Jul/27/2004 )

Guys,

I am trying to purify proteins from the nuclei. Is there a method that gives me nuclear lysate fairly clean of cytosol materials? I would a gentle method of lysing the nucleus without breaking down any protein complexes... Any ideas?

Just check the commercially available kits ( Biorad, Pierce, etc). Homemade protocols are usually worse.
