Sensitive protein assay - (Oct/25/2007 )
Hello people, I have basically produced some recombinant protein and have purified it. But now I need to quantify it. Can anyone reccomend a sensitive protein assay that can measure around 5 to 20 micrograms/ml? Also because I have a very limited ammount of sample, does anyone know a sensitive kit that DOESN'T need a lot of sample? Thanks

Try to do BCA assay ( protein concentration limit till 5ug\ml). But when you work near detection limits check carefully your buffer composition and compatibility with this reagent . Also you can do it in microplates
BCA assay
Good luck!

you can try a fluorescamine protein assay:
fluorescamine protein assay
or a kjeldahl nitrogen determination:
kjeldahl method
