What is the minimum amount (ug) of protein which can be visualized by coomassie blue staining and western blot, respectively?

0,1 ug for coomasie blue staining and regarding western blot...it depends on your detection method but should be more sensitive than SDS-PAGE. I use the ECL method (Enhanced Chemi-Luminescens) and I can visualize 0,01 ug of my protein or even less
