Spot excision machine for PAGE - (Jun/25/2007 )

Hi everyone

I'm looking for a protein spot excision machine which I can use to remove my protein spots from either 1D or 2D gels. So far I'm not having much luck getting a cost effective one! My supervisor wants me to buy one instead of simply removing spots using a pipette tip as he thinks its more accurate. So far I've only managed to find one - the genetix GelPal, but that is a rather pricey £4,000! Does anyone know of anywhere where they are sold much cheaper than that?!?!

Thanks for you're help guys. biggrin.gif

check some of the used equipment sites. some are mentioned in a thread in one of these forums (but i don't remember exactly where).
