Is imidazole bad for gelfiltration columns? - Imidazole on gelfiltration columns (Mar/19/2007 )

Hi ,
after Ni-NTA purification i want to purify further via gelfiltration column (S200). Is it needed to desalt or dialyse the sample (contains 150 mM IZ) against the gelfitration buffer in order not to damage the s200 resin? I already tried and it worked well but i am concerned about the column...
Anyone has experienced problems with imidazole on the gelfiltration?
Thanks.

to modify S200 chemically you need harsh conditions; gelfiltration is also an alternative to dialysis; in the long-range there should not arise problems with imidazole in gelfiltration
