blue light-sybr green - anybody see bands with sybr and blue light (Dec/08/2006 )

hi, im using sybr safe. 20ul of 10,000X in 200ml gel. the bands are booming bright under uv.

im generating inserts for retrovirus. need to be uv damage free. so we purchased the visi-blue converter plate for the uvp tramsillumiator.

same protocol as above, but cant see jack shit!..any suggestions

I have facing the same problem, perhaps it needs special filter for vazulization...

I don't know about the converter plate, but the SybrSafe bands are very visible on the Clare research Darkreader -- about as bright as with 365 nm UV, but not as bright as with 305 nm UV.
