Storage of antibodies - (Sep/28/2006 )

I bought 2 antibodies from santa cruz and stored them overnight at -20 by mistake, as i new they recommend 4 C. i took them out the next day and put them at 4 C. I didnt use them yet but does this will cause significant damge to there activity ? ???????

we aliquot and store all antibodies at -20C or -80C (even if supplier suggest sstoring at 4C). Only the working aliquot is kept at 4C.

It shouldnt matter if u kept the antibodies at -20C.

Many of my antibodies are frozen.
I don't know why sometime the provider say to keep them at 4°C whereas the others are fine when frozen.
maybe it's just because they didn't test the stability at -20°C but only at 4°C.
Doin't worry. I'm quite sure it will work.

Usually it is exactly that they didn't test the stability at -20 or lower. And that they usually just do what they think is easier for the customer.
