From yeast to mamall cells - principles and methods online? (Aug/22/2006 )
Hi people,
I am changing the field from yeast cell biology to mammals cell and cell culture (research on carcinome).
As I am new in the area I would like to ask you for tipps and normal protocols used for cloning (for ex retroviral cloning, transfection and so on). Is there any book online or similar?
Thank you really a lot!
Adriana
Invitrogen has a manual for lentiviral system, which one could use to get an idea for cloning and transfection and virus production.
I hope this Book of Cell and Tissue Culture could help
This manual is to construct Adenoviral vector, but has a lot of tips related to cell culture, transfection, cloning in viral vectors, and more.
I’m sorry, the book "Introduction to Cell and Tissue Culture" is too heavy (4 Mb) . If you are interested on it. I can send you to a email account like yahoo or any other.

Adriana
