yeast contamination in my cell culture - (Jul/06/2006 )

ive noticed recently that a lot of the sterile pipettes we buy in have holes in the packaging.....make sure you double check them all before using for cell culture. Did you change the filter in the automatic pipettor? it may accidently have been contaminated...

Damn, I got a yeast contamination of my cells, but strangely only 2-3 wells of a 6 Well plate were contaminated but not the rest. And yes, I checked them again after 2 days and the ones without contamination were still without.
