Rhinovirus (RV) GEL FILTRATION - (Jun/06/2006 )

Hallooo!!

I need to ask you guys for your advice

I want to filtrate Rhinovirus that has a MW of 8.5MDa and a diametre of about 28-34nm.
Do you have any idea of what gel-filtration system I should use???

I thought of sephadex, but is it feasuble with sephadex???

sephadex is for relatively small proteins (g200 is good for up to ~200kDa).

you want to use sephacryl (s500 or s1000). s1000 is your best bet to work for your application.
