Anion exchanger chromatography for virus purification - (May/30/2006 )

Hi everybody,

i'm trying to purifie Virus through anion exchange chromatography. For this i'm using sepharose CL-6B(sigma) and Tris-EDTA buffer( PH-7.2). But i'm not getting good result after using gradient with NaCl(0.3M). So what should i do? anyone have any suggestion about it.

do you mean that you are using deae-sepharose 6b or Q-sepharose 6b?

the pores are too small to allow virus particles to enter the bead. try deae-cellulose.
