protein glycosylation analysis - (Jan/31/2006 )

Hello,

I would like to check if there is some differences in the glycosylation of the proteins of two cell lines.
Beside a gel shift of the protein of interest, how could I see it?

Thanks in advance

Raise antibody to them, adsorb the sera against the non-glycosylated protein (produced in E. coli, for example) and see if the sera cross-reacts on western?

Purify the glycosylated form and have it analyzed for glycosyl composition and linkage at a place like this one?

Do a 1-D or 2-D gel and stain it with a glycoprotein stain like this one?

Thanks a lot for your reply.
it's an experiment to finish a paper, while I already left the lab. It's a little complicated now, but with your helpful answer I think I will manage to do something now.
Thanks
