protein synthesis - (Dec/13/2005 )

my bf and i were having a debate on this question: one of the neccessary species for protein synthesis that will be deactivated at high temperature has to be protein am i right?

doe anyone know? thank you

"necessary species"??

that doesn't really make sense...I'm sorry, but could you please ask the question again a bit more clearly?

You would be correct. Proteins, specifically ribosomes, are required for the synthesis of other proteins. These will indeed denature under high temperatures. The ribosome also contains RNA species but I am not sure if this is relevant to your debate.
