Formaldehyde crosslinking chemical reaction-ChIP assay - (Jul/12/2009 )

I want to know the chemical reaction involved in the formaldehyde crosslinking. I know that a CH2 linkage is formed between the protein and DNA, can anyone clearly explain or show me the reaction.
