Better ideas than Re-Chip - (Jul/07/2009 )

Hi, all experts, I am doing re-Chip now. My purpose is to find most of the TFs (transcription factors, at least those binded on DNA) in my interested chromatin region. Now I only think out re-Chip followed by co-IP to meet it. But you know, we can only check one TF in one re-Chip and somebody told me re-Chip is much harder than Chip. So, does anyone have better ideas than re-chip? Or can you give me some suggestions if you are expert in re-Chip?
Thanks a lot for your great help in advance!

Re-ChIP is two ChIP in one, so obviously it is more difficult.

Not necessarily a better idea, but other idea would be to add one more crosslinker -such as DTBP.

Hi, cellcounter, thank you so much for your reply. But how and in which step to add one more crosslinker? And what is the meaning of DTBP?

Hi, KPDE, thank you very much for your explanation. But could you tell me how to use DTBP? Add it with formaldehyde? If your know where I can get a detailed re-Chip protocol, that is best. I just wonder if there are some knacks in sides to get a better re-chip results.
Thanks again!
