How to purify a transmembrane protein from others proteins? - (Apr/28/2009 )

I have isolated all transmembrane proteins from cancer cell line I am working on. I am just interested in one from all transmembrane proteins.

Do you have any ideas how can I separate protein I am interested in (transmebrane) from other proteins? Of course this protein does not contain any tags. This protein has extracellular (soluble), transmembrane (insoluble) and intracellular part.

Is it possible to use some magnetic beads?
I am waiting for all suggestions.

Immunoprecipitate - you can use your magnetic beads for this so long as they are capable of coupling with your antibody. Have a look at Dynabeads from Invitrogen.
