LPS isolation by hot phenol/water method - (Mar/27/2009 )

Resently, I want to isolate LPS from E.coli by hot phenol/water method which was described by Westphal, O. & Jann, K. (1965) Bacterial lipopolysaccharides: extraction with phenol-water and further applications of the procedure. I have an ergent need to get it. Is there anybody who can help me to get this protocol? Thank you. :)

There was a similar topic like yours here a few years ago ( http://www.protocol-online.org/biology-for...sts/13636.html), however due to the servercrash this is lost, but maybe you should email Charlie Ellis: c.ellis@imperial.ac.uk on the matter. He has experience with the protocol you need, he also has the protocol, so he might be able to help you.

If he doenst answer you, you could try and email: Dr. Y. Veeranagouda at veeresha_y@rediffmail.com, he has also the protocol, I think.

I hope this helps.
