Outer membrane protein extraction - (Apr/17/2018 )

I couldn't get essential bands by SDS PAGE of outer membrane protein. What is the esssential criteria to get all required bands of outer membrane protein ? If i place whole cell protein in 1% of sodium lauryl sarcosine , overnight, the outer membrane protein degrades? Or by this is it possible to extract properly all minute outer membrane proteins

the sarcosine should not degrade the protein, it should disrupt the membrane. there are, however, proteases that will be released and they may degrade the proteins.

do you add a protease inhibitor cocktail to your extraction medium?
