I have the Raindance Technologies system and am trying to get it to work. The problem I have is that there are not good established protocols and I have to develop my own and troubleshoot

along the way. The system is expensive and the two chips alone run~ 300 per run. That is if the run works. Since Raindance has been bought out by BioRad I have been getting the run

around on getting new materials and getting a break on the pricing. The latest quote for the oil necessary to run the droplets was $500 for two syringes plus $150 for shipping and handling.

Does anyone agree that this is outrageous? One more thing, the BioRad rep suggested I buy the BioRad system instead and offered me a trade in!
