what kind of acetone should be used for deal with carbon support films - (Dec/18/2013 )
hello everyone,
I want to make protein sample use carbon support films for EM.
Before using, the films should be dealed with acetone. I do not know which kind of acetone should I use? Something contaminants may be attached onto the film if the acetone grade is not high.
Could you help me? Thank you very much.

when in doubt, use the highest purity grade you can find (hplc or molecular biology grade).
first determine if there is a grade specifically recommended for em.
