Size of Prostaglandin, who knows? - (Apr/11/2011 )
Hi, prostaglandins are no proteins, they are a group of lipid compounds that are derived enzymatically from fatty acids. But I can't found a topic about that... so I will ask my question in this topic.
Is there somebody that has any idea about the size (microns) of Prostaglandin E2, I did a search on the Internet but I can't found it...
Let me know if you know something about it...
Richard
Hola,as you say prostaglandins are small molecules, look any reagent catalogue as Sigma and you will see that all are in a mol. weight range about 350 daltosn,( more or less as sucrose). So your question of size in microns I cannot answer, but think in any virus wich pass 0.22microns filter and has a lot of different molecules as these and others as proteins with mol.weights untill 200KD. In any way ,do I help you to resolve your doubt?. Buena suerte
